Overview

The current COVID-19 pandemic has led to the disruption of several vaccine delivery systems, both in clinical settings and at offsite clinics, and has put thousands of Colorado children behind on administration of routine immunizations. Please join Immunize Colorado and public health experts from Children’s Hospital Colorado and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to learn about the impact of COVID-19 on immunization services and how to rethink delivering back-to-school immunizations. Presenters will discuss:

  • An overview of the CDPHE 2019/2020 school immunization data and goals for the coming 2020/2021 school year
  • Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on immunization services, both in clinical settings and pop-up vaccination clinics, and opportunities for improvement
  • Guidelines for providing primary care services during the current pandemic. Including new routine vaccination guidelines for providers
  • Recommendations for safely reopening vaccination clinics at local public health agencies with social distancing requirements
