The Rose Community Foundation presents - 'Increasing Equity in COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution'
Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2021
Communities of color and people living in poverty have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Now, these same communities face challenges accessing the COVID-19 vaccine.
Ensuring all individuals have access to the vaccine and achieving a high vaccination rate across Colorado will be necessary to mitigate the disproportionate impacts of the pandemic and prevent widening disparities going forward.
Panelists will discuss historic inequities and racism in the health care system that have contributed to barriers to vaccine access for people of color, current efforts underway to disseminate vaccine information, and how local community leaders are working to support equitable vaccine access.
