How coronavirus vaccines are being researched across the world
Since the coronavirus emerged as a global threat, researchers across the world have been working to find a vaccine to halt the pandemic.
World health officials acknowledged Wednesday that scientists are getting closer at an impressive pace to developing a vaccine with the first human clinical trials already underway in Seattle, Washington.
“This is an incredible achievement,” World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told reporters, noting that the milestone came just 60 days after China discovered the genetic sequence of the virus.
