On November 4, Immunize Colorado partnered with STRIDE Community Health Centers to host a health clinic at the New Legacy Charter School, which serves pregnant and parenting high schools students in the Aurora, Colorado area. The clinic offered a variety of health services to students and their families, including well-child check ups, dental screenings, behavioral health screenings, and routine immunizations (with an emphasis on providing flu shots). A total of 13 patients were served and 34 vaccines were administered.
Immunize Colorado provided capacity for the New Legacy and STRIDE staff by coordinating a student outreach plan to advertise the clinic, creating a follow-up survey to glean students' experiences at the clinic and future health needs and coordinating roles between the three partners.
