Immunize Colorado is now recruiting for its 2021/22 AmeriCorps VISTA Immunization Education and Outreach Coordinator member positions. The program will recruit eight (8) full-time members through the Colorado Immunity Corps (CO-mmunity Corps), Immunize Colorado’s statewide AmeriCorps VISTA program, for one-year term positions at local public health agencies across Colorado. The CO-mmunity Corps aims to advance and promote vaccine delivery and education in communities across Colorado. AmeriCorps VISTA is a form of national service that aims to build capacity in nonprofit organizations and public agencies across the United States.
Members who participate in the CO-mmunity Corps program will build the capacity of their host site by developing and implementing local activities that promote vaccine education and improve delivery of and access to vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines. Through this national service program, members will gain valuable experience in public health and aid in capacity building efforts to promote vaccination and health equity.
We are currently recruiting applicants for member positions at the following host sites:
- Chaffee County Public Health in Salida
- Denver Public Health in Denver
- Garfield County Public Health in Glenwood Springs
- Gunnison County Public Health in Gunnison
- Immunize Colorado in Aurora
- Jefferson County Public Health in Lakewood
- Tri-County Public Health in Aurora
Interested individuals can learn more about the CO-mmunity Corps and apply for open positions.
We would greatly appreciate your help in passing this opportunity along to anyone who might be interested in becoming a VISTA member with the CO-mmunity Corps. Please contact Kayla Knock for more information.
