Aurora, Colo. — The Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition (CCIC), the statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving childhood immunization rates, announced today that Sara Froelich, senior account executive, The Kenney Group, has been elected to serve on its Board of Directors.
Froelich was elected at the organization’s annual membership meeting Nov. 17. Her term will last through November 2019.
As senior account executive with The Kenney Group, Froelich specializes in federal government relations, as well as health care policy advocacy in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. Under her management, the We Work for Health Colorado program has grown to a coalition of roughly 80 local partners including patient advocacy organizations, research institutions and economic development organizations. Before joining The Kenney Group, Froelich spent ten years serving as deputy downstate director for U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, focusing on community outreach, local economic development, special projects, transportation, health care and appropriations. She currently serves on the board of the Colorado Gerontological Society, is past-president of her home owners association, and volunteers as a youth soccer coach. She is also a founding member of the Council for IWU Women, which mentors college-age young women.
“CCIC is honored to welcome Ms. Froelich to the board, and we’re especially grateful to add her 15+ years of experience in government and politics, as well as campaign strategy and public relations, to our talented and diverse Board of Directors,” said CCIC Executive Director Stephanie Wasserman.
