Bennett became the AmeriCorps VISTA leader for the Colorado Immunity Corps VISTA program in August 2025 after finishing a year of service as a member of the program at Jefferson County Public Health. He joined the Colorado Immunity Corps after graduating with his B.S. in Public Health and Global Health from the University of Washington in 2024, and was motivated to do so due to his interest in increasing equitable access to public health interventions and working directly with communities to do so. In his year of service, Bennett was able to set up immunization clinics throughout the community, restart a vaccination program that reached homebound community members in their homes, and assisted JCPHās harm reduction team in delivering supplies to community members on street outreaches, among other accomplishments. Bennett took the VISTA leader position to give back to the program by helping guide VISTA members through their years of service, as well as help Immunize Colorado with community outreach and program evaluation. Outside of service, Bennett enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling, having been to 37 U.S. states.
