AAP Colorado, Immunize Colorado, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment strongly support the continued provision of health care, including vaccination, for children during the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent reductions in well-child visits threaten the well-being and optimal health of Colorado’s youngest population due to delayed vaccination, screening, referrals, and delivery of anticipatory guidance to families. In an effort to support providers and their patients during these challenging times, our organizations have produced the Colorado Pediatric Provider Toolkit, complete with modifiable templates for providers to:

  • Let patients know that their practice is open, safe, and still there for them
  • Ensure their community knows that well-child checks and immunizations remain essential for infants, children, and adolescents

The templates and tools in the toolkit can be customized according to local guidelines, as well as to the characteristics unique to providers’ patient populations.
