The choice to immunize is for the good of your child. When they are safe and protected, they can just be a kid - learn, live, and thrive. That’s why Immunize Colorado, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Immunization Branch, recently revamped the award-winning website, ImmunizeForGood.com and its Spanish counterpart VacunalosPorSuBien.com, which serve to educate parents about vaccines in a safe and scientifically accurate space. In this webinar we learned from a mom and immunologist the basic science about vaccines and how the immune system works. We heard what led one mom to advocate for vaccine uptake at the national level and what others can do to join the movement. We also heard the story of one mom’s journey to advocacy after losing her child to a vaccine-preventable disease.
