Emily Zadvorny, PharmD, BCPS

Emily B. Zadvorny, PharmD, BCPS is a pharmacist executive and policy architect with 25+ years advancing the clinical and legislative standing of the pharmacy profession. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Pharmacists Society (CPS), the only professional pharmacy association in Colorado, representing pharmacists, technicians, and students statewide. In this role, she leads strategy, operations, and advocacy for the Society, and has secured passage of landmark legislation expanding pharmacists’ scope of practice, establishing Medicaid and commercial provider status, enabling reimbursement for clinical services, and improving patient access to care across Colorado.

The 2024 recipient of the ACCP C. Edwin Webb Professional Advocacy Award and 2022 ASHP Pharmacy Champion, Dr. Zadvorny is widely recognized as one of the most influential pharmacy policy leaders in the country. A native of Colorado, she earned her PharmD from the University of Arizona (Summa Cum Laude) and completed two post-graduate residencies at UC San Diego. She is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor (Adjunct) at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy.
