Colorado Pediatric Provider Toolkit: Caring for Children During the COVID-19 Pandemic
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that providing pediatric care for children comes with new challenges, including combating the virus itself while still addressing ongoing child health-related issues among patients.
AAP Colorado, Immunize Colorado, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment strongly support the continued provision of health care, including vaccination, for children during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to support providers and their patients during these challenging times, these organizations produced the Colorado Pediatric Provider Toolkit, complete with modifiable templates, social media graphics, resources for connecting with the media, etc. for providers to:
- Let patients know that their practice is open, safe, and still there for them
- Ensure their community knows that well-child checks and immunizations remain essential for infants, children, and adolescents

Immunize for Good
Understanding the need for credible, parent-friendly vaccine information, Immunize Colorado, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Immunization Section, launched the Immunize for Good campaign in January 2011.
The seven-time award-winning Immunize for Good campaign consists of a website (www.ImmunizeforGood.com), interactive features and videos, print collateral, and media – all of which help to communicate the safety and importance of childhood immunizations.
Good to Go
Following the introduction of Immunize for Good, Immunize Colorado and CDPHE developed, Good to Go, (m.ImmunizeforGood.com on your mobile device) a mobile web app to help parents keep track of when to get which vaccines and why – all from the convenience of their smartphone, tablet or desktop computer. With Good to Go, parents can create a personalized schedule up to age six, sign up to receive email reminders for upcoming vaccines, view their child’s progress within each vaccine series, and much more. Good to Go makes it easy to stay up to date on the CDC-recommended vaccine schedule so their child gets the best protection possible.
In June 2013, Immunize Colorado and CDPHE introduced a condensed, “transcreated” version of ImmunizeforGood.com for Spanish-speaking parents. The new website, www.VacunalosporSuBien.com, offers much of the same content as its English companion, including information about the benefits of vaccination, how vaccines work, the recommended schedule, vaccine-preventable diseases, as well as Colorado-specific resources for accessing vaccines.
